Earlier this morning I was browsing through my AmEx offers, and I noticed several of my cards have offers from several wineries.
To see if you are targeted for this promotion, log into your American Express account and scroll down towards the bottom of your account summary. There you can check if you are offered the deal.
Beringer is offering $90 back for $300 or more in purchases, and Sterling Vineyards is offering $60 for $200 in purchases.
Some of you may be targeted by AmEx to earn 100x the dollar amount in Membership Reward points instead of a direct cashback, which in my opinion is an even better deal. 9,000 points for Beringer is worth over $150 in travel, and Sterling's offer is worth at least $100 in travel.
It is quite rare for AmEx to be offering that high a stash of points for an AmEx offer deal, not sure if it is because of the holidays or some rather aggressive partnership going on here. To put it into perspective, you can get a first class ticket round trip to Asia for ~200k on Singapore Airlines. Taking advantage of both deals for would get you almost 7.5% of the points needed for the trip. Not bad if you actually like the wines to begin with.
I am not a drinker so I am not sure what quality these wineries are producing, however, for a rebate of 33% to 50% in value, it seems like a fairly generous offer from AmEx. Share your comments below on what you think of the wine quality.
AmEx seems to be keeping busy with new AmEx Offer deals fairly regularly throughout the whole month. I expect more to come as we approach Christmas, so be sure to keep checking your account summary regularly for new offers.
